SCOTLAND’S largest independent salmon farming business has signed an exclusive three-year £3miliion contract for nets with Ayrshire’s W & J Knox.
The contract will be to provide the company with servicing and new nets at its 37 farm sites throughout the west coast of Scotland.
Brian Floyd, Production Manager at Lighthouse Caledonia, said: “We are delighted to have signed this substantial deal with W & J Knox to supply and maintain the hundreds of nets we use every year which reinforces our commitment to supporting Scottish suppliers.”
The companies have enjoyed a successful working relationship since 1994.
Roger Dehany, Director and Part-Owner at W & J Knox, said: “It gives us great pleasure to formalise our business relationship with Lighthouse Caledonia.  We’ve been working with the company and its forerunners for 16 years and have always endeavoured to offer a service to meet their needs. This agreement is acknowledgement of our efforts and offers job security to our workforce.”
