Feed science and technology ‘boosts aquaculture’ |

 ' ' src=' '>  ' ' src=' '>  FARMED fish feed specialist Skretting is lauding advances in feed formulations and production technology, which it says contribute significantly to progress in aquaculture. A feature on Skretting’s website says: “At one time three kg of feed was needed to grow one kg of salmon. Today the ratio is around 1:1 and that kilo of feed need contain only 150 g of fishmeal, enabling salmon and trout farmers to produce more fish protein than they use in the feed.”
